Taking a Break

Well, it turns out, I’m not immune to burnout. Who knew? I’ve bitten off waaay more than I can chew both professionally and personally. So I’m taking a little break from posting content on this blog. I only want to post quality writing that I’m happy with and proud of and in order to be able to do that, I need to take a quick breather and then I’ll be back, recharged and refreshed, later in October!

If I can leave you with any bit of advice before I go, then it’s this: Take breaks. Don’t link your self-worth to your productivity. You are a worthy human being no matter how much or how little you accomplish in a day, in a week, in a year, in a lifetime. I’m writing this here as a bit of advice for you and as a reminder for myself. I’ve only felt good about myself lately if I can check x amount of items off my to-do list. I should’ve known that way of thinking and operating wouldn’t be sustainable for long. Well, ya live and ya learn, am I right?

I’ll see you all soon!
